Another curve ball, another log in the road of life, as I sit here at Mountain Ranch, Albion NY, thinking..well more than thinking, my head is spinning. As you may know, May of 2013, they diagnosed my grandfather with Rheumatoid Arthritis, after receiving a pneumonia shot, he didn't wish to have.Days later he couldn't get out of bed. Rushing him to the hospital they told him about rheumatoid. What a shock for us, for me, as weeks earlier he was playing baseball with us in the field, to now barely able to get out the of chair. At 8 years old, I remember, sitting on my bedroom floor, making drawings of this ranch,
See my dream was, that one day I would take over the farm, help my dear Grandparents with this place, bring in all kinds of animals to raise, help support.

It still is my dream, even more than when I was 8. But people would tell me, this place isn't a fairy tale. they would tell me I had to look at the reality road, the new words are " This isn't 'Heart Land' " Which I beg to differ, this is my heartland. its not just a barn with some land to me. Its much more. Where memories were made, where tear were shed, laughter is cried out,the lessons I learned, and I want others to love this place just as much as I do, help them through things, like this place has for me. And I Intend to fight for it!
But anywho, back to reality ;P ............... Wednesday morning we get a call, a call that made me drop to my knees. Papa, was doing the horses here ,as usual every morning, every night, I love to do them with him when I am here, his love for them just shows where my love for horses came from. But he had lost his balance and fell, enunciating pain rushing up his leg, he somehow got up and hung on to Blaze (Quarter Horse Cutter) as he stammered in his pocket for his phone. Dialing 911, and Grandma. My Grandpa isn't one to be a "cry baby" as he so put it, lol he hit his finger with a nail gun one time, took pliers and intended to just pull the screw out by his own. So him phoning for an ambulance was pretty serious. Grandma phoned us as she was on her way, to the hospital, knowing nothing, except that he had fell and was in pain.
Immediately deciding we need to be here, I phoned the zoo, and explained the situation. Being so understanding and caring as they are, I was able to get the weekend off, as well as any more days if needing to stay and help. But not being able to leave that day, I went in to make up some of my hours. Not being able to get him off my mind, all day it seemed I paced, and checked my phone every few seconds to make sure I didn't miss that text or call of an update. But keeping busy, the animals kept me smiling, as Jewls (owl) somehow gave me a indecisive, stare right through me, Its amazing, how they know. How much communication they can give, just with their eyes. Same as when I came home, and began to cry for the first time that day on the situation, holding onto Mara (my horse) She Just knew, She just,,understood. That wasn't the only news we heard, My Grandma Madden, went to a Neurologist, and just might have Stage 1 Parkinson's disease. We didn't know how much more we could take. My family and I feel like Job, or Naomi from the book of Ruth. But from those reminders, we are reminded to praise God even through the storm, that His will is perfect, and His timing is never off. Or I should say I have been reminded. once again, Grandpa, broke his hip, and had to have surgery. Which went very well. They have already started therapy too. Your prayers have been very much appreciated, Thank You!We are hoping he can come home, soon.
Please pray for wisdom as we make decisions.
I'll try to get updates up, as I go! wish me luck on that huh..
Untill Next Time,
